Excellent article!! Hail is a destructive force as is truth. And your mentioning "hailstorms of truth," while that exact phrase is not in the bible, the theme is and the metaphor of God (or Jesus) being that force/power of destruction and Jesus being Truth. (He is "the Way, Truth, and Life")
Is 28:2 Behold, the Lord has one who is strong and mighty. Like a hailstorm, or destructive tempest, like a driving rain or flooding downpour, he will smash that crown to the ground." (there are many more verses related)
God has already judged them in heaven's court and found them guilty which is WHY they're slowly being destroyed. (although not in their fullness yet) Everything we're looking at in the natural (with our eyeballs), there is the spiritual (God) behind it, driving it. And this is what I mean when I say that you're using spiritual language and themes to describe what's happening in the physical/political and you are dead on accurate!!! You may not understand what I'm saying to you or you ay be not believe it, but I KNOW that you SEE!!! Amazing!
