In an Oval Officer meeting, Dowd was with Trump, Sessions, and Sessions COS. During this meeting, Don McGahn burst in to tell them all CNN just reported Rosenstein had just named Mueller as Special Counsel. Dowd reported the following: 1) Trump was LIVID; 2) Sessions was openly humiliated andf offered his resignation on the spot, which couldn't be accepted then because THAT would have been viewed as "obstruction"; 3) the COS ran to DOJ to confront Rosenstein, who was cowering in his corner asking if he was about to be fired. This was all because of the Sessions recusal, which Sessions said he offered as his "gesture" to his former D Senate colleagues so they would not bother them. Sessions went full Neville Chamberlain convinced his "gesture" would create "peace in our time". What a dunce. Instead, here were the REAL and serious consequences of that recusal: 1) Flyn had to go bankrupt to defend against Mueller prosecutors; 2) Mannafort home raided and went to prison; 3) Roger Stone raided and went to prison; 4) Papadopoulous sent to prison; 5) Trump had to hire his own battery of lawyers to deal with Mueller's attack dogs at a personal cost of millions in legal fees. Among other consequences. THAT'S why Trump WENT OUT OF HIS WAY to openly DESTROY the Senate candidacy of Sessions when he tried to return to the Senate in 2020. Trump not only openly trashed Sessions but also openly endorsed Tuberville in that R primary, because Trump knew full well his supporters would back his endorsement. They did. What constitutional reason was given to stop the process the VP had started, that is the BIG MISSING PIECE! What was entered into the record---That because of this interruption (which has nothing to do with this constitutional process), the process started by the VP is now invalid and cannot be allowed to continue?
